Paintings in Action
The paper is saturated with a compound of my own creation that prevents it from bursting into flames when the liquid fire streaks across the picture plane. The paper is several layers thick and the plaster backing allows the structure to remain intact. The iron is ladled, splashed, poured or applied on a plane that is either flat or inclined. The process requires both forethought and intuitiveness.
