This medallion commemorates the first and only Mermaid Iron Molten Iron Performance. Spectators were all over us as we poured molten iron out of the back of a pick-up truck. The police were somewhat tolerant and they let us tap the furnace three times before they said "You're done now". The medallions were immediately de-invested from their sand mold encasement and while still red hot they were quenched in a bucket of ice water. The spoils were then handed out to the crowd who acted like I was giving away $100 bills.
