This is the first of four where I added wax "pucks" to the dialogue between the oil and iron. As the molten iron makes it way across the picture plane it interacts with the wax, the wax begins to melt and it creates very obvious gesture lines.

This painting is not upside down. In fact, this is how the paintings are oriented when I create them.
