This installation almost completely de-materializes the art object and allows the viewer to focus closer still on the elements of heat, steam, air and, in this case, audible stimulation.

Three short lengths of pipe are fitted with 208 volt immersion heater elements and filled with water to varing levels. The sound of water boiling is greatly amplified through the three different pipe lengths and echoes through the exhibition space. Steam quickly fills up the surrounding area and condensation drips off the walls and ceiling.
